Veronika Lovett

Chief Executive Officer

Veronika Lovett is an accomplished banking executive with extensive experience across challenger banks, fintech and established financial institutions. She brings deep expertise in strategy, proposition development, structured finance and credit, with a proven track record of launching and scaling regulated banking businesses. Veronika has held senior executive and board roles across startup and growth-stage banks, including as Deputy CEO and Chief Commercial Officer, where she played a central role in regulatory authorisation, mobilisation, capital raising and go-to-market execution. Earlier in her career, she held senior roles at NatWest and the Royal Bank of Scotland, specialising in structured finance and leveraged lending. Veronika is recognised for her strategic leadership, strong regulatory understanding and ability to build high-performing teams aligned to long-term business objectives.

Caroline Richardson

Interim Chief Financial Officer

Caroline Richardson is an experienced banking executive and Chief Financial Officer with deep expertise across financial control, treasury, regulatory engagement and strategic financial leadership within regulated financial services. She has held multiple CFO and board roles across challenger banks and listed financial institutions, most recently serving as CFO and Board Director at Monument Bank where she supported the bank’s transition from start-up to scale-up while leading finance and treasury during a period of significant growth and capital raising. Previously, she served as CFO of PCF Bank, playing a central role in stabilising the organisation through significant accounting remediation and leading the bank’s solvent wind-down in close engagement with regulators. Earlier in her career Caroline held senior finance leadership roles at WhiteOak UK, Arrow Global, the Co-operative Bank and Deutsche Bank, building extensive experience in financial reporting, transformation and governance. She is recognised for her strong regulatory relationships, pragmatic leadership style and ability to guide organisations through complex financial and operational challenges.

Lucy Hasson

Chief Operating Officer

Lucy Hasson is a highly experienced banking executive with deep expertise across operations, technology transformation, risk, compliance and governance. She has held senior executive roles across challenger banks, Tier 1 institutions and high-growth start-ups, with a strong track record of leading complex bank builds, regulatory authorisations and large-scale transformation programmes. Lucy has served as SMF24 Chief Operating Officer across multiple regulated entities, playing a central role in mobilisation, operating model design, organisational resilience and regulatory engagement with the FCA, PRA and Bank of England. Earlier in her career, she held senior leadership roles at NatWest and the Royal Bank of Scotland, including as General Counsel to a major corporate and institutional banking franchise. Lucy is recognised for her pace, accountability and ability to deliver operational excellence while building resilient, high-performing teams aligned to strategic growth objectives.

Lisa Fergus

Chief Risk Officer

Lisa Fergus is a highly experienced senior risk and governance executive with over 30 years’ experience across UK and international banking. She has held multiple Chief Risk Officer roles within FCA, PRA and ECB-regulated institutions, with deep expertise spanning enterprise risk management, compliance, financial crime, internal audit and regulatory engagement. Lisa has served as a Board Director and senior executive across a range of challenger banks and established financial institutions, where she has led the design and implementation of robust risk frameworks, strengthened risk culture and delivered regulatory confidence during periods of significant change and growth. She is recognised as a trusted advisor to Boards and executive teams, known for her strong ethics, clear judgement and ability to balance effective risk oversight with enabling sustainable business strategy.

Danny Haynes

Danny is a tech entrepreneur, having previously founded an AI/ML startup. Danny has since joined Kroo with a vision to positively disrupt retail banking. With over 20 years’ experience in innovation, working with household brands like BBC News, Cambridge University and AVIVA, Danny specialises in R&D to deliver novel customer value and strategic business objectives. Danny fosters a creative environment and leads people of diverse skills and backgrounds, to create bold, unique, and compelling customer experiences.

Daniel Adcock

Chief People Officer

Daniel Adcock, Chief People Officer at Kroo, brings extensive experience from the tech and recruitment industries. In fintech, he has successfully grown early-stage startups through acquisition and has established and expanded teams in London, across the UK, Kyiv, and NYC. His skills include scaling teams, strategic talent acquisition, and cultivating inclusive, innovative workplaces. Earlier in his career, Daniel led specialist recruitment teams at Goodman Masson and Hays, overseeing large-scale hiring efforts.

Nazim Valimahomed

Founder / Head of Investor Relations

Nazim is a visionary entrepreneur with a background in actuarial science and tremendous experience building successful brands and marketing strategies for Coca-Cola and Nestle. In his career, Nazim built an extremely successful media and creative ad agency from the ground up which Publicis then acquired. Over the years he has developed a strong understanding of the banking industry from within and further evolved his deep knowledge of the customers in the financial sectors. He knows how to create a product customers love and a company culture that attracts the best talent.
