I’ve been with Kroo for about 4 years, and find it very useful as a second account. The App is very clear and easy to use, the interest paid is competitive, and I particularly enjoy the zero commission on foreign expenditure when travelling. I’ve only had one bad experience, which was in Nagoya Japan, 2 years ago- the Nishitetsu company railway operator for the line from NGO Airport to the city centre had signage to indicate that with any Visa card you can pay for the ride by tapping in/out at the platform turnstiles at each end- so I did that at the Airport, and the turnstile went ‘green ‘ to let me through, but whilst on the train I got a message from Kroo to say that the ‘payment had been declined’, and then I couldn’t get out of the city centre station at the other end! Took 20 mins of explaining and talking with the Station staff, before they would let me pay the fare in cash and let me off the station! I used my Barclays Visa debit card on the return journey and tapped in/out without any problem.
