Terms & Conditions for Refer a Friend Scheme (July 2026)

  1. In these Terms and Conditions:
  2. Kroo’s refer a friend scheme is currently only available to selected customers. If you have not received an invitation from Kroo to participate it is very likely that you have not been selected.
  3. If you have been selected there are some conditions that you must meet to be eligible for a £5 reward for introducing friends under this Refer a Friend Scheme. These are set out in Conditions 4 - 11 below.
  4. The Friend you refer must be a new customer who has never held a Kroo account in the past and has not started an application to open a Kroo PCA before the Scheme launches.
  5. To be eligible for the reward, you must share the link we have given you with the Friend you are referring. That Friend must click on your link and enter their email address on the Kroo webpage. They must then download the Kroo app and apply for a Kroo PCA using the exact same email address they entered on the webpage. This is how we match you with your Friend so that we can pay any reward due.
  6. Once your Friend has successfully opened a Kroo PCA they must make their first payment using a physical Kroo debit card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay. A withdrawal at an ATM using the Kroo debit card will count as a payment. A transfer between Kroo accounts (for example a payment to a Kroo cash ISA or making a repayment on a Kroo personal loan) will not count as a payment for the purposes of earning the reward. That payment must be fully settled (completed) in order to trigger the reward. It can take up to 7 days for a payment to settle.
  7. You can earn a £5 reward for each of your first 10 Friends who open a Kroo PCA and complete their first transaction. This means you cannot earn more than £50 in total for this particular referral scheme. You can make up to 30 referrals. If any of the Friends you refer open a Kroo account and complete their first transaction within the time limit set out in Condition 9, they will receive £5, but you will still only receive £5 for each of your first 10 Friends you refer who open a Kroo PCA and complete their first transaction. All rewards earned by you will be added to your Kroo PCA. All rewards earned by your Friends will be paid into their Kroo PCAs.
  8. We aim to review all applications to open a Kroo PCA within 7 working days, but due to high referral volumes, this may take slightly longer. Any rewards due will be paid once your Friend’s Kroo PCA has been successfully opened and the first card transaction has been fully settled. Any reward payment will usually take up to 5 days to appear in both your and your Friend’s Kroo PCA.
  9. Subject to Condition 11 the Refer a Friend Scheme will terminate on 1 September 2026, but we reserve the right to terminate it at an earlier date by:
    1. giving you at least 7 days’ notice; or
    2. giving you immediate notice if events outside of our control make continuing the Refer a Friend Scheme impossible or very difficult.
  10. Once the Scheme has terminated you cannot make any further referrals. Any Friends who have been referred must have applied for a Kroo PCA before the termination date in order to be eligible for any reward. If you have made a referral prior to the termination date of the Scheme and your Friend has applied for a Kroo account prior to the termination date of the Scheme, you and your Friend will still be able to receive the reward (subject to conditions 4-8) as long as your Friend completes their first transaction within 30 days the Scheme being terminated.
  11. If we detect fraud and/or misuse of the Refer a Friend Scheme by you or your Friend, neither of you will be eligible for any reward. If we have reasonable grounds to believe that there is wide-spread fraud in connection with the Scheme we reserve the right to cancel the Scheme immediately.
  12. These Terms and Conditions are governed by the law of England and Wales.
